Diagnostics
Treating sick and injured pets with diagnostics.
Hope Veterinary Clinic features state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment that can give us an accurate picture of your pet’s health.
Our in-house laboratory allows for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. When necessary, we also use commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Ear disease is common among pets, and our clinics use computerized video otoscopy to perform ear exams, diagnose diseases, and treat external and middle ear problems. This instrument also enhances our ability to remove polyps, otoliths, and foreign bodies to prevent further damage and infection, and possibly restore hearing.
We use tonometry to check the intraocular pressure of your pet’s eyes for diseases such as glaucoma, diabetes, and injuries from head or eye trauma. This painless, inexpensive screening is recommended for all senior pets and certain breeds that are predisposed to glaucoma. This test may help us save your pet’s vision.
